Who this course is aimed at:
Year 1 Teachers, Teaching Assistants & Cover Supervisors

Theme: ‘A Jungle’ Dance pack your back pack and travel to the Jungle where you will meet a Giraffe who can’t dance and a cricket who shows him how to ‘when he finds music that he loves’ You will also join in with the the other animals at the jungle dance as they Rock ‘n’ roll, Waltz and perform a Scottish Reel.
You will be shown how this exciting scheme of work can be delivered effectively without the teacher having to demonstrate themselves. (You do not have to be able to dance to deliver this theme)
This course aims:
- To provide you with a bank of practical ideas to implement into your dance lessons
- To help increase your confidence in the delivery of dance
- To increase knowledge and understanding of dance terminology KS 1 Dance
- To have a chance to develop your own creativity and have some fun.
What to bring:
- Comfortable clothing that you are able to move around in
- Trainers (or bare feet)
- If you would rather not take part practically you are very welcome to observe and make notes
