On the 22nd & 23rd October LP Dance in Education raised a total of £260 for the Breast Cancer Campaign at our two LP Dancing Tots community classes!
Everyone wore pink and the children danced with pink balloons. At both classes donations were taken for cakes and biscuits, kindly donated by Sainsbury’s Whitley Bay and Scotts Bakers as well as home baked treats from parents, grandparents and childminders who attend the classes.
Students from Southlands School in North Shields, who are part way through a vocational course on Party Planning (co-ordinated by Eventsulove), were involved in the planning and preparations for the event, making decorations, putting together sweetie bags and were a great help at the class on the Thursday.
Capello hair salon in Whitley Bay also helped to sell raffle tickets at their salon and customers enjoyed pink fizz and pink cakes while having their hair styled on Wednesday.
A raffle was drawn on the Thursday morning at Whitley Bay library and there were some fabulous kindly donated prizes from several local Whitley Bay Businesses:
- Escape Boutique
- Unique Boutique
- Crowds Beauty
- Hana Beauty
- Trendy Art
- Papercuts
- Official Runamokka
- Fleurt Florists
- Dream Pop Bakery
- Delish Delicatessen
- Jaffakate

- Trade Hair Supplies
- Nola Gifts

- The Business Factory
I can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity with buying raffle tickets, making cakes, sweetie bags and decorations. It’s ten years this month that my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and thankfully, thanks to amazing doctors, nurses, scientists, fund raising and people’s generosity she, like many others, is a breast cancer survivor.
