All the schemes of work and PowerPoints have been copyrighted and are restricted only to staff within the purchasing school. Please do not share with colleagues from other schools, friends or family or take them with you if you move schools. This is my business and livelihood and I am sure you will appreciate the significant amount of time and effort that has gone into producing these teaching resources.
Scheme of Work: Lesson Plans (Downloadable)
The schemes of work consist of 10 detailed individual lesson plans (6 lessons for Early Years) and are presented in PDF format. These SOWs can be downloaded once so that a hard copy is available in school for reference or to show planning to OFSTED. If for any reason you need another copy please email me at laura.prince@lpdanceineducation.com
PowerPoints
Each lesson plan comes with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. The PowerPoints include learning objectives and choices of video clips to be used and choices of differentiated tasks. They are basically a step-by-step guide of the lesson (stress free!).
Each Powerpoint also includes the slides from the previous lesson. The reason that I have done this is to allow the teacher to recap anything from the previous lesson, or complete any outstanding tasks from the previous lesson (if they wish to).
Another reason for doing this it to help staff that job share or if a supply teacher will be covering the lesson. It is then easy for the class teacher to indicate where the class are up to and the job share or supply teacher can also see what was covered in the previous lesson.
Music: (playlist is not available with free samples)
I have produced a playlist of suggested music for each dance scheme of work. This is the music that I use when I am delivering. There are two playlists – one is just simply the playlist of music and the other is annotated with my suggestions at what parts of the scheme of work I use the music for.
All the music can be purchased via ITunes unless otherwise stated (around 70p – 80p per track – a lot of the tracks are used across different schemes of work). I have also suggested some tracks from three royalty free music sites (this will be shown on the playlist):
Videos
Please note that all videos in the PowerPoint Presentations that are linked to internet sites such as Vimeo and Youtube all work and are correct at time of publication, however as they are linked to the internet links do change and can be replaced by unsuitable material so please just double check these before showing pupils.
Free Updates
Whenever I update a scheme of work any school that has purchased the licence will receive the updated version free of charge (this will be done automatically).
Technical Glitches
From time to time there may be a technical glitch within the membership site. Hopefully the glitch will be behind the scenes and not have any impact on accessing the resources.
Please be assured that I have fantastic IT support with a local company who are on hand 24/7 to fix any problems that may occur. (Though I have been assured that there won’t be any!)
Internet Connection
You will need Internet connection to be able to play the PowerPoints and the videos. If you find that there is a blank page when you are expecting to view a lesson plan or a PowerPoint please just refresh the page as it just hasn’t uploaded due to the internet connection.
Emergency Contact
If there was ever an emergency situation where for some reason you just couldn’t access the resources and you had OFSTED in or you were being observed please email me straight away at laura.prince@lpdanceineducation.com or call me on 07951558938 so that I can:
- a) Look into it for you,
- b) Contact IT support
- c) Email you a copy of the PowerPoint so that you had instant access to it for your lesson.
Feedback
Feedback from teachers is essential to enable me to improve the resources. If something doesn’t make sense, there is a spelling or grammatical mistake or you think I need to explain something in more detail, please let me know.
I hope you all enjoy delivering the dance schemes of work and they help to make your already very stressful and busy work lives easier.
Kindest regards
Laura
